How to stay up-to-date with trends & platform updates

With countless social media platforms constantly trying to compete with one another, its pretty easy to get lost in the mix of updates, trends, and being caught up with changes! This is when working with a marketing agency comes in handy, so they can be responsible for keeping your website + social channels optimized while you keep doing all the other things on your to-do list.

But, that’s not why you’re reading this! You’re reading this because YOU want to stay-up-to date, and for that, I admire you. I am subscribed to over 50 newsletters that come into my inbox on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence. These digital businesses flood my inbox with their one job: to educate marketing experts on platform changes, new features, and things in the horizon for the social channels & marketing platforms many of us “gurus” are loyal to. All of these resources can be overwhelming, not to mention staying on top of trends by scrolling TikTok/ Instagram for hours each day…entering SDM’s version of staying up to date: The Dream Catcher!

After realizing it was nearly impossible to stay up-to-date with everything, not to mention overwhelming (even for me!), I knew that there had to be a better way. I created my own form of communication, built solely with entrepeneurs in mind, to keep business owners up to date with everything they needed to know (and leave out fluff).

As a member of The Dream Catcher, you’ll get weekly emails that have trending sounds, content ideas, and any initiatives you need to get ahead on (think seasonal trends). You’ll also receive a monthly newsletter that has more of the “foundational” updates about platform changes & new features coming out.

After being subscribed to many resources, I wanted to create a hybrid between trends & sounds to use / content ideas and platform changes that people need to be aware of. I found that trends & sounds were much more relevant, yet harder to get a hold of easily without manually scrolling through the apps
